  1. It’s quite simple, All the controls on the use of poisons and techniques through the EU and the UK have limited the arsenal that pest controllers can hit these critters and other pests with.
    Limited because of industry and government OVER REGULATION and the misguided notion that you aren’t a good pest controller without a piece of paper. Now you need a certificate in the UK to break wind let alone use most any chemical.

    The old school warned it would happen and now London and most UK cities are reaping the rewards. So ha ha. Told you so!

    Old timers had their own methods and mixes and swapped recipes and techniques freely among their peers. All lost as they “retired” sick to death of the nonsense forced upon them. The rat is a cunning adaptable foe and you need that wealth of experience when attacking these critters not some limp approved method manual and a restricted preferred list of lame poisons.
