Kremlin hopes Trump-Putin meeting will establish working US-Russia dialogue

MOSCOW, July 5 (Reuters) – Moscow hopes the first face-to-face meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump later this week will establish an effective working dialog between the two men, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.

The meeting, due to be held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg on Friday, will be closely watched at a time when ties between the two countries remain strained by U.S. allegations of Russian election hacking, Syria, Ukraine and a U.S. row over Trump associates’ links to Moscow.
