Stargazers around the world will be treated to a lunar delight on Sunday when 2017’s only supermoon will light up the nighttime sky.

The “Full Cold Moon,” a name given to any full moon in the month of December, is set to become full on the 3rd at approximately 10:47 a.m. EST, according to Space.com.

The moon will then reach perigee, the point in its orbit at which it is closest to the Earth, on Dec. 4 at 3:45 a.m. EST, making it appear up to 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than usual.
