As humans, it’s easy to dismiss the intelligence of wild animals. However, once you really look at the natural world, the cleverness of those creatures becomes absolutely undeniable, and researchers in Japan are baffled by a new example of it.

Macaques are snow monkeys that live on the island of Yakushima and they have an incredible relationship with the island’s deer. However, one stunning behavior in particular seems to defy all normal explanation!
