What’s next in the House impeachment inquiry?

The House voted Thursday to establish formal procedures for the ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Trump’s request for political help from Ukraine, passing a resolution that calls for open hearings — addressing Republican criticism that the Democratic probe thus far has been conducted behind closed doors.

“The next phase will move from closed depositions to open hearings where the American people will learn firsthand about the president’s misconduct,” the heads of the four House committees conducting the inquiry said in a joint statement

TRICK OR TREAT: Nancy Pelosi And The Democrats Ram Through First Formal Vote On Impeachment Of President As Witch Hunt Becomes Official

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats celebrated the dark holiday of Halloween today by pushing through and successfully voting on passage of the first stage of ground rules for proceeding forward with the impeachment of President Trump. Things just got real. However divided this country was yesterday pales in comparison to the rift that was opened up today in Congress.

Why are the Democrats doing this? Because Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren or any of the other Democrats running for office in 2020 are incapable of beating Donald Trump in a fair, head to head fight. The Russian Dossier didn’t work, the Russian Collusion Hoax didn’t work, the Mueller Report didn’t work, 3 relentless year of the fake news media advocating on behalf of the Democrats in attempting to destroy Donald Trump didn’t work.

Second interstellar visitor may be carrying water from beyond our solar system, shocking study suggests

A shocking new study suggests that the second interstellar object ever discovered, Comet 2I/Borisov, could be carrying water on it from beyond the Solar System.

The study suggests that 2I/Borisov, discovered on Aug. 30 by astronomer Gennady Borisov, is releasing water vapor on its journey.

“Using a simple sublimation model we estimate an H2O active area of 1.7 km2 [0.65 miles squared], which for current estimates for the size of Borisov suggests active fractions between 1-150 [percent], consistent with values measured in Solar System comets,” the study’s abstract states. It is common for asteroids in the Solar System to carry water.

Now Pelosi hit with ethics complaint

(FOX NEWS) — A coalition of conservative groups has filed an ethics complaint against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D.-Calif., alleging she has “hypocritically usurped” the authority of the president and “weaponized” impeachment proceedings.

“In launching her ‘official’ impeachment inquiry without benefit of a vote of the full House of Representatives and without indicating anything remotely qualifying as ‘treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors’ that is the subject of the inquiry, Speaker Pelosi has weaponized impeachment,” reads the complaint, led by Tea Party Patriots Action’s Jenny Beth Martin and signed by 40 different groups.

House approves impeachment inquiry measure, but Republicans say it’s too little, too late

In its first vote related to the impeachment of President Trump, the House on Thursday approved largely along party lines a resolution affirming its investigation and setting rules for public hearings to be held in the coming weeks.

The resolution passed 232 to 196.

All Republicans, who have complained about being shut out of the process, voted against the measure, calling it too little, too late. Two Democrats joined them.

House Foreign Affairs ranking Republican Michael McCaul of Texas told CNN before the vote that the procedures set in the resolution don’t do much. “It’s a little cosmetic,” McCaul said.

North Korea fires two ‘ballistic missiles’ into Sea of Japan

North Korea has fired two unidentified “projectiles” into the sea, the South Korean military says.

According to Japan’s Defence Ministry, the objects “appeared to be ballistic missiles”.

If confirmed as a missile test, it would be the North’s 12th such launch this year.

Earlier this month, North Korea test-fired a new type of missile which is thought could also be launched from a submarine.
