Canary Islands engulfed by ‘apocalyptic’ sandstorm seen from SPACE on Nasa satellite

Several flights into Lanzarote were diverted yesterday due to the lack of visibility, with the planes instead landing at Fuerteventura and Tenerife North.

A MASSIVE sandstorm has covered the Canary Islands, leading to “apocalyptic” scenes and even sparking sudden flight diversions from the popular tourist destination.
