I STOOD ON THE BANKS OF JORDAN, WATCHING THE SHIPS ROLL ON BY. There’s an old proverb that says, “Blood is thicker than water.” What that means is that relationships, bonds, and loyalty within an immediate family, are by far, the strongest, and most important. Truth is, the bond between my brother, Larry and I, was certainly not an exception. It was strong and very important to each of us. We had our ups, and we had our downs, but we stood strong through it all. At the end of the day our love as brothers grew stronger. I am very proud of my brother, Larry, for the accomplishments he made in his life. Larry served proudly in the United States Air Force, and retired after 16 years. He finished out his retirement, with the USDA as a federal meat inspector. He was dedicated, and committed in everything he accomplished. There is so much I could say about my Bro Larry, but for the sake of those who are reading this tribute, I want to refer to an important scripture. It’s found in 1 John chapter 4 verse 11, it says, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” God bless you all. -Bishop Cornelius Duncan
