U.S. President Joe Biden’s planned democracy summit next week will be a “joke” and the American political system doesn’t represent a real democracy, senior Chinese officials said on Saturday.
“Under the American democratic system, U.S. politicians are the agents of interest groups, and don’t represent interests of majority voters nor national interest,” Tian Peiyan, deputy director of the Policy Research Office of the Communist Party’s central committee, said at a press conference in Beijing on Saturday for the release of a white paper on democracy.
U.S. politicians would promise anything just to get elected and rarely delivered on their commitments, he said. “This is not real democracy, Chinese people don’t like and don’t want such a democracy,” Tian said.
The “revolving door” phenomenon in the U.S. system means that politicians are swayed by interest groups and lobbyists, said Xu Lin, deputy head of the Publicity Department in the party’s central committee.
Biden has frequently characterized democracies’ battle against autocracies as an essential geopolitical challenge of the 21st century. Chinese authorities have criticized the U.S. president’s planned virtual summit next week, with Taiwan among the more than 100 invitees. China Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng said in a call with his Russian counterpart on Friday that the event was a “complete farce.”
China has ratcheted up military, economic and diplomatic pressure on democratically run Taiwan since Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen’s election win in 2016. Beijing says the island is part of its territory, a claim refuted by Tsai and her ruling party.
“The U.S. is a self-styled leader of democracy, but its so-called summit of democracy is only aimed at suppressing and containing countries with a different development model,” said Tian, “it is set to become a joke and will not be popular.
The number of Swedish residents who have opted to implant microchips with their vaccine passport into their hands has risen since the country announced new COVID restrictions, according to local media.
On December 1, Sweden enacted new rules that require individuals to have a passport at all events with more than 100 people.
“Vaccine passes are a measure that we see as necessary,” Karin Tegmark Wisell, with the Swedish Public Health Agency, announced in November. “We cannot just kick back and hope for the best.”
Aftonbladet, a Swedish daily newspaper, reports since that announcement the number of people who have chosen to receive a microchip in place of carrying a passport has increased.
In this video, you can see how the chip works.
Hannes Sjoblad told Aftonbladet he had a microchip with his vaccination passport inserted into his left hand. When scanned, all his information about COVID-19 is reflected on his mobile phone.
According to Euronews.com, around 6,000 people in Sweden have had a chip inserted in their hands since 2014.
Swedes have swapped out carrying keys, train tickets, and ID Cards for the convenience of a microchip.
Another resident told Aftonbladet having the microchip made him feel healthier.
It is a transition that many call the “Internet of bodies”, or medical implants and other devices that go inside your body and link with the internet.
“It’s actually an ecosystem,” Mary Lee, a RAND fellow, explained. “It’s a bunch of devices that are connected to the internet that contain software and that either collect personal health data about you or can alter the body’s function. We think of this ‘internet bodies’ as a collection of all these devices as well as all the data.”
It’s a so-called “health tool” The Atlantic predicted would become more popular.
“As with most technologies, the tipping point for implantable chips will come when they become so useful they’re hard to refuse. It could happen sooner than you think,” Haley Weiss wrote in 2018.
Meanwhile, several European nations have reintroduced restrictions since the rise of the Omicron variant.
Austria has instituted a full lockdown, the Netherlands is requiring businesses to close early, and Germany is inching closer to a nationwide vaccine mandate after barring the unvaccinated from public spaces like gyms and restaurants.
President Biden announced Thursday new plans to combat COVID-19 through the winter including stricter testing for those entering the U.S. “It doesn’t involve shutdowns or lockdowns, but widespread vaccinations, and boosters, and testing and a lot more,” Biden said.
The White House’s chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says he believes the virus crisis will never come to an end. “We’re going to have to start living with COVID,” he said on CBS’ Face the Nation, Sunday. “I believe that’s the case because I don’t think we’re going to eradicate it.”
‘Voters couldn’t name anything’ the party has accomplished

Democrats have determined that their “entire brand” is “a wreck.”
That’s according to a Politico report that explained how party strategists descended on Virginia after their candidate for governor, Terry McAuliffe, bombed badly.
In addition, approval ratings for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been abysmal, and the GOP is expected by many analysts to take over control of both the House and Senate next year.
Some have even openly speculated IF, not how, Biden will finish his term.
Those strategists, the report said, found something “even worse than expected. The problems cut far deeper than the failings of their gubernatorial nominee, Terry McAuliffe, or President Joe Biden’s flagging approval ratings. Rather, the Democratic Party’s entire brand was a wreck.”
“Voters couldn’t name anything that Democrats had done, except a few who said we passed the infrastructure bill,” the center-left group Third Way and its pollsters said in a report.
Politico said it obtained a copy of the report.
And those are the ones who voted for Biden.
The result is that Democrats are “confronting an identity crisis.”
In fact, the report said one strategist “who advises major donors” concluded, “Too late. We’re f—–.”
Politico reported, “The findings in Virginia fall in line with public and private polling nationally in recent weeks. Biden’s approval rating, a measure closely tied to a party’s performance in the midterms, has fallen to below 43 percent, according to the FiveThirtyEight polling average. That’s far worse than Barack Obama’s was at this point in his presidency, prior to the Democrats’ midterm wipe-out in 2010.”
In fact, some polls have had Biden’s approval in the mid to upper 30s, and Harris’ a full 10 points lower.
Polls also show Americans picking Republicans over Democrats on ballots, and 60% saying Biden has the country on the wrong track.
“Voters believe the economy is bad, and no amount of stats can change their mind (at least in the short term),” the Third Way report said. “Jobs numbers, wage numbers, and the number of people we’ve put back to work don’t move them. We should still talk about these (more the wage and back-to-work numbers), but we should realize that they will have limited impact when people are seeing help wanted signs all over main street, restaurant sections closed for lack of workers, rising prices, and supply disruptions. Even where things are getting better, Biden doesn’t get credit.”
(WASHINGTON EXAMINER) — In what would be one of the biggest political comebacks in American history, former President Donald Trump has surged into a double-digit lead over President Joe Biden in the latest 2024 matchup poll.
In today’s Rasmussen Reports survey, likely voters picked Trump to beat Biden, 45% to 32% if the election were held today, a gap that is even higher among independents who have become the critical swing group. They chose Trump 47%-20%.
Rasmussen reported a sizable number of voters who want someone else, at 17%, and just 6% said they were on the fence. Also: 15% of Democrats said they’d vote for Trump compared to 8% of Republicans who’d pick Biden.

One year before the 2022 midterm elections, the United States of America, long the freest, most powerful and most successful nation on earth, is on the brink of total meltdown.
Power-obsessed politicians in thrall to a bizarre, quasi-religious ideology, seemingly oblivious to the destruction and suffering they’re causing, daily implement new agendas that crush America’s great middle class, her economy and her most hallowed institutions.
Staging this revolution from behind their shockingly senile puppet president, Joe Biden, they have fomented a full-scale invasion of the U.S. mainland, mandated that tens of millions of citizens be injected with an experimental new drug or lose their jobs, and heedlessly created Third World-style inflation, shortages, poverty, drug addiction and runaway crime. And they’re just getting started.
Ironically, America’s current ruling elites hate the very nation they govern, daily condemning it as irredeemably racist, when in reality it is indisputably the least racist nation in human history.
Ignoring reality at every turn, they manifest an abiding contempt for biology, the lessons of history, the fundamental laws of economics, the transcendent value of human life, and especially, for God and His laws.
On top of all this, their current figureheads – Joe Biden and Kamala Harris – are unlikable, meanspirited, pathologically dishonest, and in Biden’s case, cognitively disintegrating in real time before the entire world. Harris is so singularly repellant that the Biden administration has essentially kept her hidden since Day 1.
So phantasmagoric has 2021 become, Team Biden appears to be engaged in an “Alice in Wonderland”-type intramural competition to determine who in the administration can be the most deranged: Biden is winning, with his straight-faced claims that his planned multi-trillion-dollar spending orgy “costs zero dollars” and will reduce inflation. But Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is giving him stiff competition with his assertion that many of America’s highways are racist, as is Vice President Kamala Harris, who recently asked NASA if it can possibly “track trees” by race to assure “environmental justice.”
No wonder every recent poll shows voters of both parties are running away, as fast as possible, from Biden and Harris. As USA Today reported in early November, “The approval ratings for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have reached dismal new lows, according to a stunning, just-released poll. In a survey published Sunday by USA Today, the president’s approval rating stands at just 38 percent. … USA Today found that just 28 percent of those surveyed approve of Kamala Harris at the moment.”
Thus, for the ascendent Democratic Party, every bit as addicted to power as a drug addict is to heroin or fentanyl, the only question is: How can Democrats possibly retain their power in light of the growing awareness among the American electorate that their current leaders and policies are basically insane? How, they ask themselves, can they not only avoid losing control of the U.S. Congress in the November 2022 election and the presidency in 2024, but also continue to elect and re-elect Democrats as governors, state legislators, secretaries of state, mayors, Soros-funded district attorneys and other vital “down-ballot” positions?
In light of voters’ ever-plummeting approval of them, there’s only one conceivable solution for Democrats.
Rigging elections. Voter fraud. Changing the rules. Big tech censorship. Shooting down voter ID laws. Shutting out election observers. Eliminating signature verification for mail-in ballots. “Ballot harvesting.” Basically, exploiting every imaginable opportunity to enable, abet, promote, excuse and encourage election-related fraud and abuse in its myriad and ever-expanding forms, all the while vehemently denying it even when caught red-handed – just as in 2020. And, of course, simultaneously accusing everyone demanding fair elections of being white supremacists and terrorists intent on “voter suppression” and implementing “Jim Crow 2.0.”
That is why election integrity is, without question, the most important issue in America today. It is literally the singular key to whether the greatest nation on earth lives – or dies.
And that is why the November 2021 issue of WND’s acclaimed Whistleblower magazine – titled “AMERICA’S FATEFUL CHOICE: RESTORE ELECTIONS OR KILL THE REPUBLIC” – is entirely focused on how, specifically, America can and must assure that the elections in 2022, 2024 and beyond are fair, honest, transparent and trustworthy. For if they are, the deranged and destructive Marxist revolution in America is over.
This week, the Biden administration announced a plan to reverse a Trump-era policy that supporters said protected the religious liberty of federal contractors and put them “on an equal footing” with other contractors.
At issue is a Trump Department of Labor rule that was initially proposed in 2019 but went into effect in the final days of the Trump administration. The new rule expanded religious exemptions for contractors related to non-discrimination laws by declaring that a religious organization is eligible for federal contracts and is exempt from non-discrimination laws if it is “organized for a religious purpose” and “holds itself out to the public as carrying out a religious purpose.”
Eugene Scalia, the Trump administration’s Secretary of Labor, defended the new rule last year by saying that “religious organizations should not have to fear that acceptance of a federal contract or subcontract will require them to abandon their religious character or identity.” The Family Research Council said the rule would “protect religious liberty” by requiring that federal agencies “allow faith adherents to compete for federal contracts on an equal footing with anyone else.”
Craig E. Leen, the Trump administration’s director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, said at the time the administration was “committed to protecting religious liberty, while ensuring vigorous enforcement of the anti-discrimination laws the agency administers.”
Religious organizations’ beliefs about sexual orientation and gender identity are at the heart of the issue. The Obama administration banned contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Biden rule would “ensure that” the “religious exemption is applied consistent with principles and case law interpreting the Title VII religious exemption,” a news release said.
The consumer price index climbed 6.2% year over year in October, the Labor Department said. The increase marked the largest annual gain since November 1990. Prices rose 0.9% month over month.
Analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting prices to rise 0.6% in October and 5.8% annually.
“Inflation is broadening out,” said Greg McBride, chief financial analyst at Bankrate. “In addition to food, energy, and shelter continuing to post outsized monthly increases, new and used car prices are once again shifting into overdrive.”
Energy prices jumped 4.8% last month, and were up 30% over the past year. The October increase was largely the result of a 6.1% rise in the cost of gasoline.
Food prices, meanwhile, edged up 0.9% last month as the food at home category saw a 1% increase. All food prices are up 5.3% year over year.
Also contributing to the rise were new and used vehicle prices, which in October rose 1.4% and 2.5%, respectively. Prices for new vehicles were 9.8% above year-ago levels while used vehicle prices were up 26.4% from October 2020.
The cost of shelter ticked up 0.5% last month and was 3.5% above year-ago levels.
“We’re seeing early signs of an inflationary surge that’s likely to persist, with companies responding to rising input costs with cost increases of their own, which in turn causes higher input costs for others,” said Brad Armstrong, partner at Lovell Minnick Partners. “It’s a cycle that repeats itself.”
Wednesday’s hotter-than-expected report surely caught the attention of the Federal Reserve, which earlier this month announced plans to taper its $120 billion per month in asset purchases while taking notice of “elevated” inflation. The central bank still expects inflation to be “transitory.”
The Fed will later this month begin scaling back its purchases of Treasurys and mortgage-backed securities by $15 billion a month, which puts its asset-purchase program on pace to end in June. Markets are currently pricing in the first rate hike to occur in July 2022.
